Where to Stay in Bangkok : Cheap Hotel in Bangkok

Aside from the plane tickets (if you were unable to take advantage of the seat sales), the only other big chunk of your travel budget normally goes to the accommodations. When travelling within the Philippines and the purpose of our travel is to relax, we do not hesitate to allot more on accommodation. But if the main purpose of the trip is to explore and see as much places as we can, then we make ourselves ready to sacrifice comfort a bit and settle for something a little bit lowkey.

We didn't actually have enough time to plan this Bangkok trip. Me and my partner had our minds set that we will go to Bicol. But two months before our planned vacation, change of mind and plans, we ended up booking a flight to Bangkok! So needless to say, we spent so much on our plane tickets hence, we needed to make sure that we won't spend so much in where we are going to stay.

I have checked Agoda and everything is over our budget. Good thing I remember AirBnB! I started looking around and found a really good deal! For four days, we only paid P4,128.00 - all in! That's only P1032/day! And guess what, we didn't even feel like we only paid that much.

Imagine waking up to this everyday, for only a little over P1,000? Amazing, right?

Best way to jumpstart a full packed day -- coffee while admiring this view.

The place is around 20-30 Minutes away from the city center via train, however, getting around wasn't an issue. The place is actually just 5 minute walk to BTS Punnawithi Station.

I love the modern and minimalist design of the place! There's even this desk where I was able to enhance and upload photos while we were there.

There's even a full length mirror perfect for OOTD!

Room is ideal for two, but if you will be travelling for three, there is still enough space for one person.
This sofa bed is comfortable enough to be slept on if traveling in 3 :)
Wifi was really fast. And it was perfect that the host also has a mobile wifi which we also rented for 900Baht during our whole stay. It would've been a real challenge if we didn't have internet access while getting around Bangkok!

Grabbed the photo below from AirBnB, posted by the host. Although the space also has this dining area, we opted to use the foldable table.

I wasn't able to take a photo of the kitchen and the bathroom. Bathroom was clean and spacious enough.

Other things worth noting:
-We also had access to the swimming pool! We actually planned to take a dip because the pool is also beautiful and clean, but we were too tired everytime we came back from touring the city.
-There are two massage parlors few steps away. One thing to do when in Bangkok is to experience their Thai Massage!
-There are restaurants nearby so you won't get hungry! Street food and cariendera food na masarap! ;)
-I just checked the listing and it's even cheaper now. Just P755.00/night (plus P700+ cleaning fee)

If you wish to check out the place, you may visit it HERE.

Magalawa Island in Zambales - 2016

To kick off Philippines' Summer 2016, we headed to Magalawa Island in Palauig, Zambales. Travel time from Manila is more or less 5 hours, depending on your stop overs if you go there by a private car. Boat ride to Magalawa was quick. I think it was between 10-15 minutes.
I did my research before going to the island. And yes, I have read about the feud between the two resorts in the island, Armada and Ruiz. The person in charge for reservation first inquired at Armada but they were fully booked already.  Since I did my research, I knew that I shouldn't expect much. I was looking forward to it, but definitely, I had my expectations set!
So, we arrived at Ruiz, the staff are really nice. People are really helpful and kind. As for the shoreline at resort, I was not disappointed because, like what I have said, I knew what we're going to see. It would have been really better if there were no seaweeds. The water is really clear but the seaweeds are really annoying!  I enjoyed st…

The Neutrals & Nudes (MAC Siss, Yash, Mocha, Taupe)

I took these photos of the lipsticks months ago, but apparently, I would always end up not posting it. Here I am again, drafting an entry but unlike last time, this is not going to be a failed attempt! So let's start!
Lipsticks are my favorite make up! It's the easiest to apply, the most convenient to bring and that make up that can easily give you a transformation from daytime to night time look! My make up kit which I bring to work everyday has a lot of lipsticks in it. I do not even know why I carry a lot of lipstick with me always, but that's how girls are! We bring all the make ups that we can (or is it just me?)!
These are four of the liptsicks that I tend to carry with me everyday. Well, I do not change lipstick every 3 hours, but I like bringing them because I love mixing them lippies! :D

LA Matte Pigment Gloss - Fleur

I think I have mentioned a lot of times how I am a matte kind of girl. I have been seeing a lot of people posting and raving about the LA Matte Pigment for more or less a year now. I was really hesitant to try it because I had an impression that it would be like the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams which I didn't really like.
What made me decide to finally give it a try is when I saw one of my officemates wearing it. It looked really pigmented and I noticed how it has a long lasting effect! There is a stall near my work place which sells the brand so I bought one. I forgot how much exactly did I but it for, but I'm sure it's not more than 350php.

I decided to get Fleur. I was initially thinking of getting Dreamy because I loved it so much when I swatched it but I got talked into getting Fleur because the staff told me that it looks better on me! Lol.
It's really pigmented and I can vouch for its staying power! It doesn't have a weird smell, too so plus points again! It&#…
